Placing an Order

Waxing Poetic accepts the following methods of payment: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Shop Pay and Shop Pay Installments.

Credit card is charged when order is placed. Processing begins immediately after order is placed.

If an item shows “Out of Stock”, you may enter your e-mail address and you will be notified when the item is back in stock or becomes available for pre-order. Occasionally we will have pre-order items available for purchase and will ship when they become available.

Items from Custom Collection by Waxing Poetic are handcrafted to your specifications, there are no cancelations, returns and/or exchanges for custom pieces once your order is placed.

Custom items cannot be returned or exchanged.

E-Gift cards are available to purchase here. Select the amount desired from $100 - $1000. If you wish to receive an email with e-gift certificate details, select “Add to Bag” If you prefer to send as a gift, you can click “Send as Gift” where you’ll have the option to add a gift message, select date of delivery and method. Depending on delivery method chosen, the recipient can open your greeting card and redeem the gift to be used on our site.

You may use a gift card towards a purchase by inputting your gift card code in the box provided at checkout.

You will receive a confirmation email a few minutes after placing your order. If you did not receive a confirmation email, please contact us to ensure your order was placed.

We will attempt to accommodate your request but cannot guarantee a cancelation after an order is placed. If we are unable to cancel, please refer to our return policy. If you wish to cancel or change an order, please call 805-220-6509 or email as soon as possible.

Custom Collection jewelry orders cannot be cancelled or changed after the order is submitted.

Each order placed at includes one gift box. Please note, packaging may vary. Additional gift boxes are available for purchase here or at checkout by selecting “Add additional gift boxes to your order” in your bag.

We offer First-Class and Priority shipping via USPS as well as expedited shipping options via UPS. For guaranteed shipping times select UPS Ground, 2-Day Shipping or Next Day Air Saver.

Orders ship within 1-3 business days and are delivered based on your chosen delivery method at checkout. Delivery options are available for expedited and regular shipping via USPS and UPS.

International shipping rates start at $15.95 and duties and/or taxes may apply. Customers are responsible for international duties, taxes, and refused shipping charges.

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your Waxing Poetic purchase, you may return it for a complete refund (original price paid and associated tax, less shipping costs) to the original form of payment within 20 days of receipt. Replacements and Exchanges are available for 30 days from the date of delivery. Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging and be accompanied with original proof of purchase.

A website credit will be issued for items returned after 20 days, but within 30 days of the original ship date, (cost of goods less shipping) which can be applied towards a future purchase.

Yes. The warranty applies to defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the shipping date

Damaged or defective goods will be replaced at no additional charge to the customer and must be reported within 7 business days from date of delivery. Damages deemed above and beyond normal wear and tear will not be replaced. We reserve the right to refuse any return with signs of tampering, excessive wear and tear or modifications.

If you would like to return any portion of your Waxing Poetic order, please contact Customer Service at 877-724-5434 or e-mail us at to begin the process. If the item you would like to return is a gift, please have the gift buyer’s name and e-mail address available.

If you would like to exchange an item for a different one, you will need the name of the item you would like to receive in exchange. If you would like a refund to the original form of payment for a return made within 30 days of the delivery date, please let Customer Service know when you call or e-mail.

You will need a Return Authorization or RA Number to complete a return. To receive your Return Authorization Number, please email or call Customer Service.

To prepare your items for return, please pack the jewelry in the original packaging (including the blue pouch). If you do not have the original shipping box, please use a secure box or padded envelope to ship the return. Be sure to include a copy of the invoice or gift receipt, and the best way to contact you if we have any questions regarding the return. For your assurance, we highly recommend using a trackable carrier to send your return package. Waxing Poetic is not responsible for lost or damaged packages. Customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. Waxing Poetic is not responsible for lost or damaged packages.

Jewelry Care

Our jewelry is composed of sterling silver, brass, bronze, and gold-plated silver, brass, or bronze, or any combination of these metals. Other materials which appear from time to time include leather, silk or cotton cording, semi-precious stones, pearls, crystals, and resin. All Waxing Poetic pieces are made of the best formulas and materials available.

Waxing Poetic’s signature finish is an artisanal antiqued look with oxidization; most of the pieces are not designed to be high polish.

Tarnish is not a sign of poor metal quality or a product defect; it is a result of exposure to elements. Metals naturally oxidize over time and develop a normal patina from wear, which is not a product defect. Texture holds more oxidization and will require additional maintenance. Examples are items with heavy engraving like Custom Collection, or textured product like the Twisted Link Chains. Never use chemical dips to clean your Waxing Poetic Jewelry.

WSometimes the chemical makeup of skin oils combined with lotions may also contribute to tarnishing, so apply fragrance and hair spray prior to putting on jewelry. Regular polishing with a polishing cloth along with proper storage will help maintain the finish and reduce the natural buildup of tarnish on metals. Never use chemical dips. We recommend using our Waxing Poetic GentleJewelry Cleaner, which is safe to use on all our jewelry items.

We recommend that you do not wear your jewelry in the shower, hot tub, sauna, ocean, or swimming pool, as moisture accelerates the tarnishing of metal and chemicals can damage metals and stones.
