Here are some highlights from our recent chat with La Chique Maison:Why Waxing Poetic? La Chique Maison is located in the heart of the oil spill related area. At the time of our first Waxing Poetic purchase, we were uncertain whether or not our business could sustain the economic downfall generated by the oil spill disaster and subsequent moratorium. Despite the odds, we took a leap of faith and threw our heart into Waxing Poetic Jewelry (our first jewelry line). Within 30 days, the Waxing Poetic line took over our store and became our top selling item!
What are your favorite collections? We absolutely love the entire collection of Wing and a Prayer Charms.
What are your favorite pieces? The Medium Rolo Chain with the Antique Brass & Baby Insignia Charms (Silver) are our favorites.
What are your customers’ favorite collections? The customers all seem to love the Wing and a Prayer Charms and the Square Insignia Charms.
What are your customers’ favorite pieces? The Wing and a Prayer Fleur De Lis Charm, Ring and Earrings and the Large and Medium Rolo Chains are some of our best selling items.

Dining and Destinations, the essential guide to all things Santa Barbara, featured Waxing Poetic's flagship boutique as a must see day destination in its Fall/Winter 2010 publication.
We are delighted that Dining and Destinations editors chose to highlight our new boutique in California wine country’s Los Olivos that features hand-carved woodwork, "frescopauge" walls, and of course our signature wax seal inspired jewelry. We are very excited and proud of our new space and we hope all our customers get the chance to stop by the boutique when in town!

Who's Your Muse?
Jerry Hall should be pretty comfortable in the role of muse. Even though she had a very successful modeling career that spanned decades and was featured as a cover girl on more than forty magazines, she is most well-known for her long-time relationship with rock and roll icon, Mick Jagger. She has had (at least) two songs written about her, “Miss You” by ex-husband Mick Jagger for the Rolling Stones and “Kiss and Tell” by one-time fiancé Bryan Ferry of Roxy Music. She also appeared as mermaid on the cover of the Roxy Music’s album Siren.
So it should come as no surprise that InStyle chose Jerry Hall as their inspiration for this month’s your Look feature.

This amazing alphabet caught my eye when I was reading my New York Times Sunday Magazine a few weeks back. This surreal A-Z is a limited edition series of t-shirts designed by M/M Paris for Prada. A collector's edition with exclusive 64p book will available in Prada stores soon. A great fashion treasure (and wouldn't these make incredible mixed metal pendants?).
Surfer Chic in Marie Claire
The June issue of Marie Claire on newsstands now includes a feature with model Tori Praver beautifully adorned in Waxing Poetic jewelry. Tori’s sexy bohemian look pictured here included Waxing Poetic’s Square Insignia Charm, Fleur de Lis Charm, and Lucky Mojo Horseshoe Charm all strung on the Leather Cord Necklace. We love the layering of her gauzy top, crocheted sweater, and a variety of flowing necklaces and bracelets in leather and mixed metals. The resulting look is casual enough for a surfer girl while at the same time totally chic.
