ABOUT WAXING POETIC

The company is based in charming wine country along the central coast in Los Olivos, California. This quaint town is home to Waxing Poetic’s flagship retail space, adorned with impeccable handcrafted art and woodwork alongside stunning antique décor. Additionally, the Waxing Poetic family extends to the wonderfully prismatic land of Bali, where our craftspeople masterfully turn our designs into reality.

Because of our reverence for communal sustainability, our Balinese craftspeople are paid more than two times the minimum wage and are provided fair and ethical working conditions fit for Waxing Poetic family members. Waxing Poetic is comprised of the beauty of the people and the artful nature of our global family.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Waxing Poetic. A Portraiture.

Lives unfold from extraordinary beginnings guided into fruition through experiences and relationships. By making your everyday extraordinary, your perfect day, your proudest moment, your dreams and stories unfolding, you unleash your very own simple, wonderful, pure and deeply meaningful lore. The collective artifacts celebrating and honoring your unique journey become your narrative, illustrating who you are and who you are becoming. This is your life, your portraiture, your traditions and we are honored to be a piece of your compass, an illustrative part of your unique life.

OUR ROOTS

Waxing Poetic’s epoch dawned in 2002 from the inspired visual interpretation of sisters, Patti and Lizanne Pagliei. Born into an Italian American family, their lives have been enriched with colorful tradition from childhood into their ever evolving adulthoods. Their mother was a saver of all things meaningful…sacred, time worn mementos, trinkets, antiques, artifacts and iconography. Family tales of births, immigration, marriages, successes and love were held close and dear in their collection of heirlooms.
